David and I spent the morning together. We went to the park and then the 3 of us went to breakfast. In all, we walked around 3-4 miles. It was a very peaceful morning. While we were sitting at Duke's Restaurant a memory came to me.
A few years ago David and I walked to a quaint family owned restaurant (much like the one we were at today). We didn't have a lot of money and decided to share an omelet. We had coffee as well. We enjoyed our meal and had a pleasant conversation. I noticed two men sitting near us. It seems that they were looking to buy a house. They had papers of homes and were going through them. We glanced and nodded and continued with our conversations.
The two men left, and shortly after we asked for our check. The waitress said, the two men who had been sitting next paid for our bill. They wanted to do it without receiving thanks and recognition.
David and I were so greatful by their gestuure. It made our day.

I remember that story--it's come to mind and I've shared it with others--isn't there a movie called "Pay it forward" that is about random acts of kindness? Has anyone seen that movie? Jesus said to give in secret...how fun to find out someone already paid!
I remember it too!! WOW
