benefits of yoga and half marathons blah blah


I've made two major decisions of late: 
1. I am going to run the half marathon in Detroit in October
2. I am going to become a yoga teacher when Lily goes off to school 

I love doing yoga- but for some reason I don't do it enough. It does require me to get up and do it before I drink my coffee because to truly benefit from yoga I need it to be quiet- and if I wait for my coffee to be finished the kids will be up... and yeah, they're not so quiet. I hurt my knee yesterday when I was training- an injury I am used to- I just can't do so many miles in a week- I have to get endurance and cardio through other avenues and then return to the pavement less than I'd like. It's odd to have the endurance to do something and not the strength. My doctor said I should do more yoga to strengthen my knee. So I got up this morning at 5:45 and hit the mat. These pics are obviously from this afternoon when I bribed a little boy with 3 chocolate chips to help me get some pics. My goal is to have all my posts include pictures- Also I love the one he took when I was playing on my phone... #reallife
